Cha McCoy is the founder of Cha Squared LLC, a consumer lifestyle and business consultant company focused-on food & beverage; tourism, events, education and marketing. In 2012, she achieved her MBA in Italy; an opportunity which allowed her to explore gastronomic experiences in over 20 countries. As an expat, she fostered wine relations and developed vineyard experiences in the following wine regions: Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Hungary, Chile, Argentina, and South Africa.
Her appreciation for wine led her to study as a wine professional, achieving Certified Sommelier Level with the Court of The Master Sommeliers and WSET Level 2 Wine & Spirits Award.
She is a public speaker and wine equality advocate. She recently took the stage at Cherry Bombe’s Jubilee 2019. Her work through The Communion, her international pop up wine dinner series where she acts as the curator and event sommelier, has a stellar track record of supporting and building with small business owners, women and POC in gastronomy. She is known for breaking barriers between wine and consumers which led her to a James Beard’s House invite to curate the wine list for the 2017 Thanksgiving Dinner, a recent featured interview in April’s edition of Food & Wine magazine and becoming one of Cherry Bombe Top 100: Ones to Watch.
