Mr. Doody currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Vineyard Brands, a national importer of fine wines in the United States. Mr. Doody has been with Vineyard Brands since 2013 and became President and Chief Executive Officer in 2016 as part of a transition plan put in place in early 2014.

 

Vineyard Brands was founded in 1971 by Robert Haas, who recently passed away at the age of 90. Today, Vineyard Brands represents over 60 wineries from the major wine-growing regions throughout the world. Vineyard Brands’ portfolio includes some of the best wines available from Italy, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa and France, including over 25 growers of estate-bottled wines from Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Chablis, the Rhône, the Loire Valley, Alsace, Provence and southern France. Vineyard Brands represents some of the best and most iconic wineries in the world, including Champagne Salon, Champagne Delamotte, Château Petrus, Château de Beaucastel, Domaine Ponsot, Thibault Liger-Belair, Henri Gouges, Etienne Sauzet, Vincent Dauvissat, Domaine Weinbach, Château Miraval, August Kessseler, Marqués de Cáceres and Warre’s.

 

Prior to joining Vineyard Brands, Mr. Doody lead several high-profile corporate restructurings, including those of Charter Communications, Inc.; Calpine Corporation and HealthSouth Corporation.
Mr. Doody earned a Juris Doctor from Emory University’s School of Law and a Bachelor of Science – Management degree from Tulane University. Mr. Doody is a certified public accountant and also a certified sommelier.
