A small, intimate dinner in a grand island home.

Bodega Catena Zapata is one of Argentina’s high-altitude Malbec pioneers and has been at the forefront of wine culture in Argentina since their vineyards were first planted in 1902.  The Catena story is a tale of tradition and of progress, of taking risks, of enjoying a little luck along the way. The family creates legendary world class wines with the treasured terroir of Mendoza. Join Dr. Laura Catena, fourth generation vintner, biologist, author and physician, who has led the family winery over the last decade, as she leads you through a tasting of Catena Zapata’s exceptional and highly-acclaimed wines.

The powerhouse female chef duo from Boston, Cassie Piuma and Maura Kilpatrick will create inspired pairings for each course. Chef Piuma opened her dream restaurant, Sarma, in 2013 in Somerville where she has received countless accolades and press for her version of modern Middle Eastern meze. She will be joined by renowned pastry chef Maura Kilpatrick of Sofra Bakery in Cambridge. Maura was a nominee for the 2015, 2016, 2017 James Beard Award for Outstanding Pastry Chef and in 2018 for Outstanding Baker. Maura is partners with Chef Ana Sortun and oversees the pastry team for the entire restaurant group ; Sofra, Oleana, Sarma.
