The Auction will follow dinner and will feature rare wines, large-format bottles signed by the winemaker, and a variety of splendid and unusual "life-style" items. An event not to be missed.

The auctioneer will be Jamie Ritchie, who has just celebrated his 21st anniversary with Sotheby’s. He joined Sotheby’s London in 1990 and was responsible for launching Sotheby’s first wine sales in New York in 1994, moving to the United States in 1995, when he was appointed Head of Sotheby’s North American Wine Department.  Mr. Ritchie continues to conduct Sotheby’s wine auctions, donate his services to many benefit auctions, as well as leading tastings around the United States. He is also a respected authority in the wine market and has been regularly featured in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times, Los Angeles Times, Forbes and Wine Spectator Magazine.

The Nantucket Historical Association is dedicated to preserving Nantucket's heritage. With its museums and historic sites, the association reveals the way that islanders lived and worked for over 300 years. By touring the properties, visitors see how Nantucket evolved from a small farming community to be the capital of the American whaling industry to a popular resort community. Today, Nantucket is home to the nation's largest concentration of 18th century buildings, miles of pristine beaches, and one of the largest cranberry bogs in the region. The Nantucket Historical Association has been a part of the community since 1894 and strives to preserve, collect, and educate into the island's future. It has full accreditation from the American Association of Museums.
