Among the many events planned: a seminar featuring Damon Baehrel, owner/chef of The Basement Bistro. These are events that shouldn't be missed by any serious fan of food and wine. |

Luncheon Symposia The Nantucket Wine Festival is proud to continue the luncheon symposia program begun in 2008. This year, we offer a series of three great wine symposium/luncheon events at some of Nantucket's best addresses. The program will unfold with a one-hour symposium featuring distinguished winemakers, who will lead a discussion of their wines with the assembled guests. Each of these events will be limited to 30-60 people, thus retaining the intimacy and scale that distinguishes our festival. Immediately after the symposium, the guests will be treated to a four-course luncheon of superb cuisine featuring the wines of the guest winemakers. |

Special Events The Nantucket Wine Festival is honored to have Veuve Clicquot as its exclusive Champagne sponsor. We feel that the Grey Lady is a brighter place for the presence of all those lovely Yellow Labels. Veuve Clicquot will pour their wines at several events: the Opening Reception, the Harbor Gala, the Auction Dinner, the Grand Tastings, and the Great Wines in Grand Houses Sunday Grande Dame Brunch. |
|
|
Receptions In 2012, the Festival begins with an Opening Reception on Wednesday, May 16th, where the Nantucket community greets winemakers. Enjoy a glass of exquisite Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne, accompanied by the savory hors d'oeuvres of the Brant Point Grill's own Frederick Bisaillon while you listen to the gentle music of Nantucket guitar virtuoso Jim Sulzer. A chance for Nantucketers to meet and greet our visitors. |

Celebrity Chef & Winemaker Auction Dinner A spectacular dinner will be held at the White Elephant, followed by an auction of rare wines, large-bottle formats, and lifestyle packages, on Saturday, May 19th, at 7:00 pm at the White Elephant. This dinner will be the marquee event of this year's Festival, featuring the cuisine of Executive Chef Bernard Guillas of The Marine Room in San Diego and Executive Chef Frederick Bisaillon of the Brant Point Grill, paired with the wines of Veuve Clicquot and Numanthia. The Auction benefits the Nantucket Historical Association. Tickets are $250 per person. |

Nantucket is nationally known for its concentration of distinctive restaurants producing delicious fare. Many of the island's best chefs will be devising prix fixe lunches and dinners created to showcase the wine of the host vintner. We also list here some opportunities to taste at some of Nantucket's retail wine boutiques. |
Attendance is extremely limited at all wine tastings listed under Great Wine in Grand Houses. Pre-registration is required for all events. To avoid disappointment, reserve your tickets as soon as possible. All programs are subject to change, and tickets will be sold only to those 21 years of age or older. Please have a valid photo ID with you for admission to all events.
